AMANDELBULT MINE Amandelbult is situated in the north western limb of the Bushveld Igneous Complex between the towns of Northam and Thabazimbi in the Northern (Limpopo) Province. Amandelbult is the second largest Platinum mine in the world and produces some 600 000 ounces of the precious metal per year.The mine is situated in idyllic surroundings in the heart of the northern bushveld near the picturesque town of Thabazimbi and comprises some 7 500 hectares. The mine employs approximately 13638 people, most of whom are housed on the mine and at Thabazimbi.
